File storage is important, as are the systems you use to keep them organized. Folder icons help differentiate the contents of the folder, while using another color could help to classify the folder by type: music, movies, photos, etc. Changing the folder icon to a graphic, for example, makes it simple to locate what you need at a glance.Changing the color of these folders is another option. While naming files in a way that you can easily find what you’re looking for is clearly the most important step, a more visual solution to quickly recognize what you need can also boost your productivity. Decimal number to percentage formula (newbie question) I've got a column full of numbers like 0.5, 1.0, etc. I need them to looklike 0.500%. I figured out how to format the cells so that 0.5 looks like0.500, but when I change the cell format to percentage, it makes 0.500 into50.000%.So I figured out how to make a formula that divides 0.500 by 100(=R1C6/100), resulting in 0.005, which I can format to a percentage and get0.500%.Where I'm stumped is in applying that formula to the entire column. Insteadof =R1C6/100, I want my formula to say =all rowsC6/100. How do I tell it{allrows}?Thanks for putting up with a newbieKen Benson. How To Align Decimal Points
Hi, I currently have a listing of positive and negative numbers (ranging from numbers in the tens to hundreds to thousands to millions) and am looking to have all numbers aligned right excluding the ending ')' for all negative numbers. In other words, would like the alignment of all numbers and commas separating the larger numbers to match as you scroll down the listing. I currently have all cells Aligned Right, but it seems that no matter how I format the cells, I'm unable to get an extra space at the end of the positive numbers to align with the negative numbers. I've tried #,##0_ );;(##,##0), but this doesn't seem to be adding the space at the end of the positive numbers as I expected it to. Any help would really be appreciated. Thanks!
